The sustainability landscape is literally a minefield with no standardisation of terminology or reporting framework, but advisers need to be able to navigate properly in order to fulfill their Consumer Duty obligations to the client.
Which? magazine surveyed 5000 consumers and only 17% said their adviser raised the topic with them. Contrast this with 83% of millennials in the US who said they would leave their adviser if they were not sufficiently knowledgeable about ESG.
